The cohort isn't simply the delivery vehicle for the work - it is the work. Our experience and research show that belonging in adolescence shapes well-being for years to come, so we have designed a supportive community where girls can find it.
The Cohort Structure
Identifying what matters and learning to act in alignment with it is the inner thread running through every conversation at The Academy. Clarity of values is a strong predictor of well-being, and we believe it is what links a girl’s inner voice to her outer life.
The Values Work
We use the college application process deliberately, as the real-life context in which young people are asked to articulate who they are, what they value, and where they are headed. With expert, comprehensive guidance, each cohort member produces a thoughtfully tailored application that reflects her strengths, goals, and aspirations.
